The West Philippine Sea Murals Competition 2024 has come to a vibrant close, yet the passion and advocacy of the participants and young Filipinos continue to resonate.
Hosted by the Western Command of the AFP thru 6th Civil Relations Group in partnership with PEACE-Palawan, this year’s competition celebrated artistic talent by honoring the most outstanding mural entries. A carefully selected panel of judges evaluated the submissions, culminating in a thrilling awards ceremony. The champion took home ten thousand pesos, and a special award was presented, courtesy of Smart Telecommunications. The event kicked off with a lively performance by the Air Sentinel Band of the Philippine Air Force, filling the venue with energy and excitement.
Participants expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Western Command and are already looking forward to next year’s competition. This annual event not only promotes awareness but also inspires young Filipinos to showcase their creativity and stand in solidarity with our troops deployed in the West Philippine Sea. The spirit of the competition lives on, igniting the hearts of a new generation of artists and advocates.
