The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), in partnership with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) and the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), concluded the 11th Multilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity (MMCA) held from September 12 to 13, 2025 in the West Philippine Sea. The joint activity took place in the waters off Magalawa Island, Palauig to Silanguin Island, San Antonio, Zambales.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines sailed with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) in waters facing the West Philippine Sea (WPS) on Tuesday, Aug. 19, as part of Exercise Amphibious and Land Operations or ALON25, the largest military exercise between both countries.

CAMP AGUINALDO, QUEZON CITY — In support of the AFP Communication Plan Mulat, the AFP has partnered with creative brand Linya-Linya for the “Linya-Linya x West Philippine Sea” advocacy campaign, which aims to strengthen public awareness and national unity on the WPS issue.
In 2016, the Arbitral Tribunal ruled in favor of the Philippines, declaring China’s “nine-dash line” claim to have no legal basis under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
