Western Naval Command Helps Fishermen in the WPS

Six fishermen aboard FFB ATHAN 3 encountered rough seas near Kota Station on September 11, 2025. The sailors and marines from the Western Naval Command then provided humanitarian aid, including food, drinking water, medicine, and fuel for their boats, as well as temporary accommodation to ensure their safety and well-being while they waited for favorable sea conditions before returning to their vessel.

This initiative shows the unwavering commitment of the Philippine Navy to protect the country’s territorial integrity and the welfare of Filipinos who rely on the West Philippine Sea for their livelihood.
