Unified Messaging: Newly Promoted Generals and Colonels Gain Insight from Mulat Narratives

PASAY CITY (04 June 2025) – The lead officer for AFP Communications Plan “Mulat” for the West Philippines Sea, Col. Jo-ar Herrera, recently conducted a comprehensive briefing for 86 Generals and Colonels regarding the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Coordinated Messaging Guide intended for Commission on Appointments (CA) appearances. This initiative aims to equip senior military personnel with a unified and coordinated AFP-PH narrative and strategic messaging that effectively addresses pressing issues within the AFP organization and the broader domestic and international information environment.

The briefing will ensure consistent messaging, aligning with the AFP's strategic objectives while addressing critical national security concerns.

In addition to this briefing, Col. Herrera also addressed 84 Colonels and Captains on the AFP Unified and Coordinated Messaging Guide, reinforcing the goals of unified narratives and strategic communication.

A significant aspect of the briefing included the AFP-PH Narratives in the West Philippine Sea WPS), emphasizing the government’s commitment to transparency. Key core messages highlighted during the session included the Rules-Based International Order, Freedom of Navigation, Adherence to Democratic Values, and International Law.
