AFP OJ7 Updates Major Service 7 on Mulat Performance at Army-wide CMO Consultative Workshop

Fort Bonifacio, Philippines (03 June 2025) — In a significant meeting held this morning at the PA Officer's Clubhouse, the AFP OJ7 provided key updates to Major Service 7 regarding the performance of the MULAT initiative during the Philippine Army's Army-wide Civil-Military Operations (CMO) Consultative Workshop.

During the workshop, Chief of the PsyOps  Division, Col. Jo-ar Herrera delivered a comprehensive overview of the CMO Support Plan aligned with the AFP Campaign Plan, “Tatag Kapuluan.” The discussion included the presentation of proposed CMO Lines of Operations and their supporting objectives, aimed at enhancing the army's operational effectiveness.

Col. Herrera briefed the G7 representatives from various Philippine Army Major units on the MULAT Performance Matrix and the advancements in the MULAT 2.0 initiative. He emphasized the importance of these tools in evaluating and improving performance within the CMO framework.

In addition, Col. Herrera provided updates on ongoing OJ7 strategic initiatives, which include the development of the AFP CMO Strategy, AFP CMO Command, and associated training programs. 

Concluding his presentation, Col. Herrera underscored the vital role the CMO family plays in the Enhanced Security Operations, especially in the context of rising foreign interference, malign influence operations, and the challenges posed by the Chinese Communist Party's Cognitive Warfare tactics.

The insights shared during this workshop are expected to further strengthen the Philippine Army's operational readiness and effectiveness in addressing contemporary challenges.
