AFP highlights security awareness at DepEd IV-A regional meeting

CAVINTI, LAGUNA — The commander of the 202nd Infantry (Unifier) Brigade, Brigadier General RONALD JESS S ALCUDIA PA, served as a guest speaker in the Department of Education (DepEd) Region IV-A Regional Management Committee Meeting held in Cabuyao City, Laguna, last January 16, 2025.
The brigade’s Civil-Military Operations Officer and the Operations Officer of Task Force Ugnay were also present at the event. They engaged with key DepEd IV-A officials, spearheaded by Regional Director Atty. Alberto T. Escobarte, along with regional department heads and division superintendents.
In his address, BGen Alcudia presented the Community Information Awareness and Approach Program of the Philippine Army, which seeks to educate communities regarding the deceptive recruitment strategies of communist terrorist groups targeting senior high school students. He also highlighted the ongoing territorial issues in the West Philippine Sea (WPS), aiming to foster greater awareness and understanding of these national security concerns among young Filipinos.
The collaboration between the 202nd Infantry Brigade and DepEd IV-A underscores a shared commitment to safeguarding youth and promoting national consciousness on critical issues affecting peace and security.
